World Retail Congress Asia Pacific.jpgThe third annual 2013 World Retail Congress Asia Pacific has been confirmed for 19th – 21st March 2013 in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore; a premier location in the one of the world’s great retail cities.  The Congress will bring together over 600 of the most senior retail executives from across Asia Pacific as well as leading international brands and multinational retailers.

Structured around the four key business streams of Digital, Consumer, Market and Retail the 2013 Congress will deliver global intelligence with an Asia Pacific focus.  The world’s most highly revered retailers, digital strategists and creative leaders will share their insights to inspire and inform delegates.  Headline themes on the agenda include the changing retail property landscape, insights into complex Chinese consumer trends, the emergence of ecommerce and mobile commerce, brand adaption for Asian consumer demand and survival and growth strategies in the face of rising costs.

Looking forward to the World Retail Congress Asia Pacific in March next year, Ian McGarrigle, Chairman of the World Retail Congress, said “Singapore is the gateway to Asia Pacific and to the huge markets and retail potential that exists there as well as being itself a premier global retail destination.  We anticipate recording-breaking attendances, incisive commentary and thought-leading debate at the 2013 Congress.  We are confident that everyone visiting the Congress will find it inspiring and of enormous strategic value”.

The World Retail Congress Asia Pacific is delighted to partner with the Singapore Retailers Association (SRA), led by Dato’ Dr. Jannie Chan.  Not only is the SRA the collective voice of retailers in Singapore, it is fast becoming a regional hub for other South East Asia retail associations to link into.  The close involvement of the SRA will ensure that this globally recognised and respected event possesses a strong Asia Pacific regional flavour and is informed and guided by expert local market knowledge.

Dato’ Dr. Jannie Chan said of the forthcoming 2013 Congress, “2013 is an exciting year for retail.  Singapore is uniquely positioned to act as a conduit for global investment into South East Asian markets, some with enormous growth potential.  The Singapore Retailers Association looks forward to helping to host this high-profile event and to showcasing Singapore as a global retail hub”.

The 2013 World Retail Congress Asia Pacific will be officially launched with an afternoon event in Marina Bay Sands on Wednesday 28th November 2012.  The launch event will offer an introduction to the Congress, provide a demonstration of the exclusive, thought-leading content scheduled for the 2013 programme and give a taste of the notable networking opportunities that will be on offer during the event.

During the 2013 Congress over 85 retail leaders will share their insights on retail trends and opportunities in Asia Pacific. Confirmed speakers include:
