1510052004TiFtn.jpegThe Federal Tax Service has introduced new requirements to the procedure of orders delivery from foreign e-stores.

We reported earlier and the information was confirmed by the press office of FTS that from now on, consumers have to specify their INN (taxpayer identification number) and provide links to the purchased goods. The data is required by the customs to control the cost and weight of purchased goods, i.e. to control the duty free limit of imported goods.

The Service clarifies: «FTS’s Resolution No.1861 of November 24, 2017 requires that customs representatives should submit details of the document certifying the addressee’s identity and their INN to the customs body. The INN is required to identify unambiguously the person for the purpose of accounting the cost and weight of all goods purchased by that person during a calendar month»

Currently the duty free limit of goods imported into the Russian Federation from abroad is EUR1,000 and up to 31 kg per month.

FTS assures that the new regulations will not cause delays in the delivery of packages. According to the Service representatives, all monitoring operations and decisions are made by the system in real time. If INN is submitted in a timely manner, the release of goods will not be delayed by the cusotms bodies.
