P&G.jpgAccording to Sotirios Marindis, regional manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Procter & Gamble (P&G), the company will invest 2.4 billion rubles ($37 million) in its Russian operations this year.

The threat of tougher U.S. sanctions on Russia last year that could have hindered P&G’s operations have not materialized, Reuters reports.

The record shows that between 2016 and 2018, P&G invested 9 billion rubles to expand and upgrade two plants in Russia - one in St Petersburg and the other in Novomoskovsk.

According to S. Marindis, the future investments will boost the capacity of the local distribution center, upgrade Tide detergent and baby care products manufacturing, and localize Russian production of goods for ladies.
