Yandex is opening an additional office in Shanghai, to help their Chinese partners operating in Russia promote their products in the Russian Internet, using Yandex’s marketing techniques and other services for audience and traffic analysis.
The new office is to be headed by David Tsai, who has been working for the company since 2012. The office staff includes just a few people now, but the number of employees will be expanded over time, in proportion to the growth of tasks, says A.Melkumova, a representative of Yandex.
Chinese manufacturers and retailers are increasingly interested in the growth of their sales in Russia by entering new territory, first of all, the sales of everyday goods, children’s products, electronics and mobile devices, gadgets, cosmetics, spare parts for vehicles, hotel booking and air tickets sales, A. Yandex offers its services to those retailers, including the systems of contextual advertising, traffic evaluation, and Yandex.Metrics. Among the company's partners there are already large e-commerce marketplaces such as JD.com, LightIntheBox, DHGate, as well as some transport and manufacturing companies.
