Webloyalty expands into developing Australian marketAfter almost a decade in the UK and steady international expansion, Webloyalty is poised to build on this success by opening an office in Australia. Webloyalty will help Australian ecommerce businesses drive new revenue streams through online loyalty and repeat purchase. The Australian ecommerce market is growing fast with more than 15 million online users, and with online retail spending equating to 6.9% of traditional retail spending, according to the NAB Online Retail Sales Index.

Guy Chiswick, Managing Director of Webloyalty Northern Europe, said: “With retail ecommerce sales in Australia expected to top $16 billion in 2015, there has never been a better time for Webloyalty to enter the Australian ecommerce space. The potential for the market to grow by almost 70% by 2016 to $27 billion means that it’s an exciting time for development. We’re looking forward to helping online retail and travel businesses build stronger relationships with their customers by providing them with consistent, reliable savings when they shop online.”

With over 15 million internet users, Australia represents a major new market for Webloyalty, which has recently expanded into Turkey and the Netherlands. Over three quarters (76%) use the internet to shop online, with the most popular areas being travel, accommodation and tickets (information taken from the Australian Bureau of Statistics). Through offering Webloyalty’s Shopperdoo savings programme to their customers, companies will benefit from increased customer loyalty, as well as an additional revenue stream for their business. Customers who join will earn rewards when they shop online at over 100 Australian retailers.
