Viber considers a mobile payments service

Rumor has it that Viber, a call and messaging app provider, may be moving into the mobile payments space.
In October 2015, Viber filed a trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for its word mark “Sending money is as easy as saying hello”, which indicates Viber`s interest in the mobile payments area.
In July 2015, Facebook launched its person-to-person (P2P) payments service via Messenger to all users in the US.
