Twitter’s First View lets marketers ensure their promoted tweets load on the first screen a Twitter user sees when he opens the app or visits Twitter.com.
Twitter Inc. today rolled out a premium advertising offering called First View that lets a marketer ensure that, for a 24-period, consumers will see only that brand’s promoted tweets load on the first screen Twitter users see when they open the app or visit Twitter.com.
“Each day, millions of people come to Twitter to engage in conversations about their passions and every topic of interest that continually shapes culture,” writes Deepak Rao, Twitter’s revenue product manager, in a blog post. “At the same time, marketers come to Twitter to reach this live, premium audience through promoted trends and promoted moments, creating significant brand moments for their product launches, event sponsorships and film premieres. Now, with First View, marketers can scale their efforts even further.”
Twitter says it is introducing First View to managed clients in the United States, with plans to expand it globally in the next few months. First View is the first significant new product Twitter has launched since product chief Kevin Weil, along with several other executives, left the social network last month. Twitter will report its fourth quarter earnings tomorrow.
