The investments are expected to amount to 170 million rubles - 10 million per each store. The retailer will focus solely on farm products from Russia.
The first two stores were operned in shopping malls "Rio" owned by Samvel Karapetyan, the founder of the new chain. The rest of sales outlets are to be opened both on the shopping floor space of Tashir and in different areas not associated with it.
The "Ferma.rf" project will be presented in several formats: convenience stores, supermarkets and online store. The chain will consist of up to 600 product names, while the average check size will amount to 350-450 rubles. Suppliers will include both third parties, and Tashir’s own beef and dairy factory.
In the context of the ban on imported foodstuff imposed in the summer of 2014, the efforts have intensified as to launch projects aimed at substitution of the gourmet items vanished from the shelves. Thus, A.Rogachev, the founder of "Pyaterochka" and "Carousel" supermarket chains, started a project to develop farmers' markets "Veterok" and "Tsar's Garden".
