Russian Post has launched a new stock management solution for retailers

The solution is based on the EMS express mail service. Shipments are accepted in sorting centers of Russian Post and delivered to retail stores at the time agreed upon with the client.
Besides, goods are promptly moved between stores. Both stand-alone packages and batches of goods are accepted for delivery to one retail unit.
For retail chains Russian Post offers 4 universal fixed tariffs for shipments with the weight of up to 5 kg, 10 kg, 20 kg and 31.5 kg. The delivery timeframes are minimized thanks to optimization of courier routes and special package labeling. Weight and dimensions of shipments are subject to restrictions set out for the EMS express mail service: weight up to 31.5 kg, dimensions up to 150 cm, maximum. Similar restrictions also apply to the shipment contents.
KARI, a footwear and accessories retail chain, has become the first client to test the new EMS solution.
One of the largest retailers in the country has got an opportunity to manage stocks of its stores with a significant optimization of logistic costs. The service has been tested and implemented in nearly 600 stores of this retail chain country-wide.
