Russia Takes Lead in Mobile Conversion in Retail

According to Criteo, the mobile transaction volume in Russian e-Commerce stands at 18.7 – 20%
Based on the mobile commerce state report for the second quarter of 2015, Criteo believes Russia is among the top three countries with the largest volume of mobile conversion in retail. Meanwhile, in Japan this figure is three times higher as compared with the U.S.
Mobile transactions in e-Commerce in Russia broke through 18%. In the U.S. that figure reached 30% of the total number of e-Commerce transactions. It is expected that the number of mobile transactions will reach 33% in the U.S. and 40% in the world by the year end. Among bestsellers are fashion and tourism goods and services - one in every three such transactions is made via a smartphone or tablet.
“The possibility to use new technologies to ensure a more precise determination of the target audience and a wider coverage of prospective customers that use multiple devices becomes a main trend in the world, where a major part of transactions is made through various devices,” - said Jonathan Wolf, director of production control department, Criteo.
