The volume of mutual trade of the Eurasian Economic Union in January-June 2017 amounted to $25.1 billion, or 127% as compared to the corresponding period of 2016. The export of seafood to the countries of the EEA grew by 16.4%, the vegetables and fruit supplies – by 52%, and meat supplies – by 29,4%.

The total products export does not exceed $100 million. Metals and oil products are the main export items. Import from the Union to Russia grew by 30% to $8.524 billion. In January-June of 2017, the overall growth in mutual trade amounted to $5,342 billion, or 27% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. For metals and metal products, the figure increased by $ 1.216 billion (1.6 times), machinery, equipment and transport vehicles - by $1.148 billion (36.5%), mineral products - by $1.136 billion (18.6%), food products and agricultural raw materials - by $730 million (22.7%).

In Russia's foreign trade structure, European Union holds the leading position as the country's major economic partner. In January-July 2017, European Union accounted for 43.5% of Russia's foreign trade turnover (as compared to 43.7% in January-July 2016), the CIS - 12.4% (12.5%), EAEC countries - 8.8% (8.6%), APEC countries - 30.4% (29.2%).

The main trading partners of Russia in January-July 2017 were the following countries: China - $45.8 billion (136.4% as compared to January-July 2016), Germany - $27.0 billion (124.8%), the Netherlands - $23.1 billion (126.2%), Italy - $13.2 billion (121.6%), the United States - $12.5 billion (119.7%), The Republic of Korea - $11.2 billion   (139.5%), Turkey - $11.1 billion (131.5%), Japan - $10.2 billion (119.4%), Poland - $8.8 billion (133.5%), France - $8.3 billion (122.6%).
