Rimi, a retail chain, is developing a pan-Baltic ecommerce system and is planning to launch an e-store in Estonia in the near future, LETA reports, cited by baltic-course.com.
Katrin Bats, spokesperson for Rimi, has told that, whereas her confidence is that the Estonian consumers are ready for ecommerce, she can not state for sure whether and how the e-store service of Rimi will differ from that of competitors, the source reports, citing a number of other sources.
She said the service will be launched when it's well thought-out and of high quality and Rimi wishes to offer it also outside Tallinn. At present, Maxima and Selver are offering the e-supermarket and home delivery service in Estonia, and Rimi already has the online store in Latvia named nuko.lv.
