Runners are able to download the Nike+ running app for Android or iOS by tapping an embedded NFC tag or scanning a QR code included in poster ads at 18 locations across the city. The Nike+ Running app tracks distance, pace, time and calories burnt with GPS, giving a user audio feedback as he runs.

Nike is using the platform to "understand user engagement across these outdoor assets, which is a first for them as previously they just used outdoor media as an 'opportunity to see' medium," says Tapit.
