It is worth noting that the company's margins declined significantly, and the designated strategic goal of MTS - to take a leading position in the mobile Internet – has not been reached yet. 

Moreover, in terms of revenue from the data transfer in the second quarter of 2015 the company yielded the palm to MegaFon. MTS revenues from mobile devices during the second quarter of 2015 reached 7.6 billion rubles, which is 26.7% more than last year, and 21.6% more as compared to the first quarter of 2015. 

Despite the fact that sales growth in MTS is attributed to low prices for basic gadgets, at a recent press conference on the results of the second quarter of 2015, the management admitted that MTS didn’t earn on the sales of accessories and equipment. 

"We are going against this flow, margins are not important for us. Against the backdrop of a general rise in prices, we hold his pace," - said MTS Marketing VP Vassil Latsanich, and Andrey Dubovskov stressed that MTS was able to consistently maintain this manner of operation always.
