IFC May Invest 10 Mln Euros in Russian On-line Retailer Lamoda

LamodaThe board of directors of International Finance Corporation (IFC) will consider a 10 million euro investment into Russia’s largest on-line clothing store Lamoda on July 18, the IFC said in a statement on Tuesday.

A consortium of investors, including Summit Partners, Tengelmann Group and Access Industries, owned by Leonid Blavatnik, purchased a 4.2 billion ruble stake in Lamoda in June. (33.3210 rubles – U.S. $1)

Lamoda.ru, created by German start-up incubator Rocket Internet, sells clothes, shoes, and accessories. As of the end of 2011, the company was among the top five online retailers on the local market, which also included KupiVip, Laredoute, Quelle, and Wildberries.
