This statement was made by representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
According to them, the company violates the Competition Law, and therefore, to deter the company activity on the Russian market, certain clauses may be removed from contracts with mobile devices manufacturers, so as to prevent Google from abusing their position further. In particular, the clauses, which limit downloading of applications on mobile devices, are to be deleted.
According to media reports, the complaint came from Yandex in response to the start of imposing by the American company their terms on manufacturers of handsets and other OS Android based devices.
Currently, Google faces a fine of 6.6 billion dollars - about 10% of their total annual revenue on the market where the violation was committed.
It is worth noting that the FAS shows its full support to Yandex. Respective decisions are to be presented within 10 days.
